Bowen University closed indefinitely following students' riot

Bowen University closed
indefinitely following students'
riot
The management of Bowen University this
morning closed the school indefinitely
following students' protest last night.
Students of the private uni. say they are
protesting scarcity of electricity, water and
plans by the university to increase school
fees. The students say they are not being
treated right
"They take the light by 8am, and bring it
back by 8pm and it goes off by 11pm
again. We don't have water, no socket
light, while our lecturers are in AC
offices and cars. We have time table for
eating. 7-9am for breakfast, 12-3 for
lunch and 6-8 for dinner. Most times we
have classes during these periods" one
student told me.
All students have been asked to leave the
university...while some students who were
detained last night after the riot are yet to be
released. Continue...

Biola Ige Finally Addresses Semi- Nude Photo Making Rounds On Internet

Biola Ige Finally Addresses Semi-
Nude Photo Making Rounds On
Internet
Here is a press statement from her…
"I was going to remain silent on the photo
being displayed on the internet however I
realise that I need to set the record straight
for my family, friends and fans who i love and
respect.
The photo in question was taking from the set
of a movie called "PREGNANT HAWKERS" in
which i played a Hawker who was in a
romantic situation with a man (The actor in
the photo). This movie was shot and aired two
years ago. The photo circulating the internet
right now is the photo from a scene in the
movie and NOTHING more. IF you watched
the movie you will see that there is nothing to
this movie other than the fact that i was
playing a role!
Continue after the cut...
I am an actress, it is a profession that i love
and will continue to enjoy. I am required to
play all sorts of roles. In each role i step out
of being Biola Ige and go straight into
'character'.
Whoever who maliciously leaked this photo to
make it appear to be something else has
simply given me some great publicity! Thank
you!
I have been through a lot of difficult things
this year with the loss of my mom and a brief
illness,  that a simple photo from a movie
scene from 2 years ago is the least of my
worries. I have no further comments
regarding this act to hurt my character.
I look forward to acting more movies, and
playing more roles to entertain you. Thank
you all for reading."

I Will Not Accept A Penny From FG For The National Conference As A Delegate - Pastor Bakare

I Will Not Accept A Penny From
FG For The National Conference
As A Delegate - Pastor Bakare
The General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly,
Pastor Tunde Bakare has said he will not
accept a penny from the Federal Government
for accepting to be a delegate at the three-
month National Conference which started
today.
The Pastor while explaining this to his church
members said he will be doing so, so that
people will not think he is there for the
monetary aspect.
Each of the 492 delegates to the National
Conference would be paid N4m per month
for the three month duration, which means
they will go home with N12m each at the end
of the conference.
Though some Nigerians have condemned this ,
saying N12m each for 492 delegates for three
months is outrageous.
Pastor Tunde Bakare will be representing
Ogun State at the conference.

relationship. Though they have both denied
the relationship at different times, the actressy
in a recent interview for the first time
admitted and said yes, they are dating. The

was in a serious relationship with NURTW
State Treasurer, MC Oluomo who was very
close to the fuji act.
Some people even alleged that, Alao Malaika

up. A source said when MC confronted
Malaika about the relationship, he bluntly
denied it.
While their love was ‘hot and steamy’ MC

is not ruling out marriage with the actress,
but for now they are only dating.

Healthy Eating

Easy Tips for Planning a Healthy Diet & Sticking to It

Healthy Eating: Guide to New Food Pyramids and Tips for a Healthy Diet
Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more energy, stabilizing your mood, and keeping yourself as healthy as possible—all of which can be achieved by learning some nutrition basics and using them in a way that works for you. You can expand your range of healthy food choices and learn how to plan ahead to create and maintain a tasty, healthy diet.

Healthy eating tip 1: Set yourself up for success

To set yourself up for success, think about planning a healthy diet as a number of small, manageable steps rather than one big drastic change. If you approach the changes gradually and with commitment, you will have a healthy diet sooner than you think.
  • Simplify. Instead of being overly concerned with counting calories or measuring portion sizes, think of your diet in terms of color, variety, and freshness. This way it should be easier to make healthy choices. Focus on finding foods you love and easy recipes that incorporate a few fresh ingredients. Gradually, your diet will become healthier and more delicious.
  • Start slow and make changes to your eating habits over time. Trying to make your diet healthy overnight isn’t realistic or smart. Changing everything at once usually leads to cheating or giving up on your new eating plan. Make small steps, like adding a salad (full of different color vegetables) to your diet once a day or switching from butter to olive oil when cooking. As your small changes become habit, you can continue to add more healthy choices to your diet.
  • Every change you make to improve your diet matters. You don’t have to be perfect and you don’t have to completely eliminate foods you enjoy to have a healthy diet. The long term goal is to feel good, have more energy, and reduce the risk of cancer and disease. Don’t let your missteps derail you—every healthy food choice you make counts.

How to Do A Proper Push Up

Greetings from Heaven!
As it turns out, Heaven is actually located off the coast of New Zealand. Who knew?  The island of Waiheke, my home for the past few days, is definitely one of the most beautiful places on Earth; I was initially scheduled to just spend an afternoon here, but that has quickly turned into three days because I can’t get enough of this place.  Now, this article would have been up yesterday, but I ran into some technical difficulties with internet connections (which can happen when you’re on an island paradise), so you’re getting it today instead.
Fortunately, today’s post has nothing to do with Valentine’s Day; hopefully you can forgive me for not talking about how St. Valentine drove the snakes out of Ireland because he saw his shadow after finding a tooth under his pillow.  We’ll save that for next year.
Instead, let’s talk about push ups!
Push ups are one of the best exercises ever invented (thanks random caveman, whoever you were) – they require zero equipment, build strength in all of the right places, have hundreds of variations to keep things fresh, and are easily quantifiable so keeping track of progression is a breeze.  Push ups and their variations are a huge part of the and they’ll be a huge part of the body weight training section of the upcoming Rebel Strength Guide as well.
If you couldn’t already tell…push ups are kind of a big deal.
I realized that I had never done a proper post on proper push ups (say that three times fast…or don’t – your call), so today is the day you’re going to make sure you’re doing things right.  All pictures in today’s post were taken on the island of Waiheke.
Ever since I’ve started traveling and haven’t had regular access to a gym, push ups have become my go-to exercise.
Today, they’re going to become yours too.
